2025-26 Age Definitions for Mintonette Teams
QUICK TIP! To determine the age group your child should try out for, verify their age as of June 30, 2026. That is the age group their date of birth (DOB) places them in.
Age definitions are set by the USAV and the OVR, our governing bodies. Due to tournament restrictions, players may no longer play "grade level" in a younger age group at Mintonette. Players make try out for an older age group. Players interested in playing up an age group with an older grade can specify this during the registration process.
The chart below will help you determine which age groups/divisions your son qualifies for. If you're unsure which teams your son qualifies for or which tryout age group to attend, please email info@mintonettesports.com and let us know his DOB and grade.

| 13U Age Group: | Born between 7/1/12 - 6/30/13 |
| 14U Age Group: | Born between 7/1/11 - 6/30/12 |
| 15U Age Group: | Born between 7/1/10 - 6/30/11 |
| 16U Age Group: | Born between 7/1/09 - 6/30/10 |
| 17U Age Group: | Born between 7/1/08 - 6/30/09 |
| 18U Age Group: | Born on or before 6/30/08 |
