2024-25 Age Definitions for Mintonette Teams
QUICK TIP! To determine the age group your daughter should try out for, verify what age she will be on June 30, 2025. That age is the tryout she should attend.
Age definitions are set by the USAV and the OVR, our governing bodies. Some athletes may qualify for two different age groups, depending on DOB and grade.
Example: A player was born on July 1, 2010, but is in the 7th grade. She qualifies to play on the 14's National, American, and Regional division teams (because of her DOB), as well as the 13's Regional division teams (because of her grade).
The chart below will help you determine which age group/division your child qualifies for.
During tryouts, we flag athletes who qualify for multiple age groups so our coaches can place them on the team we think is the best fit. If you prefer a specific age group, please let us know.
